Description

The DE Plan 400 is a high-performance flat-panel loudspeaker with two 6" flat-diaphragm bass drivers and a highly efficient high-frequency exciter that is completely invisible when integrated into walls or ceilings. Thanks to the patented design principle of the DE Plan series, which achieves a homogeneous excursion of the flat diaphragm, the DE Plan 400 has a very wide transmission spectrum with excellent bass reproduction despite its small dimensions.

The mathematically calculated contour of the patented de:shape® diaphragms with damping elements prevents disturbing diaphragm resonances and ensures a previously unattained precision in reproduction. Thanks to the optimised coupling between drivers and radiating diaphragm, the new DE Plan models react significantly less to variations in the layer structure of the mounting surfaces (filler, fleece and paint). The wide dispersion angle of 180° enables a completely homogeneous sound distribution in the room with only a few loudspeakers.

The Plan 400 can be installed in hollow drywall walls and ceilings directly or with the built-in housing EG Plan 400. For solid walls or concrete ceilings, the EGB Plan 400 installation housing is used. Installation: First, the loudspeaker is flush-mounted and tested. Then the membrane is covered with the supplied glass fibre fleece, filled and painted over.
