Description

The PA 2200 is an audiophile Class D power amplifier with 2 channels and two slots for different input modules. The three model variants are equipped with balanced line inputs, unbalanced RCA inputs or a Dante module and can be expanded with a second input module. By combining two input modules, the power amplifier can be operated as an amplifier center with mixed analog and digital signal sources. Ground lift switches per input channel pair and DIP switches for adjusting the input sensitivity per channel allow optimum adaptation to different signal sources.

The circuit design of the PA 2200 is conceived for very high sound quality and operational reliability with minimal heat generation. The generously dimensioned power supply unit with high filter capacities and our newly developed processor-controlled class D power amplifier modules guarantee very high efficiency and enormous power reserves. The auto-on/off function (switchable per channel) automatically switches non-active amplifier channels to a power-saving SLEEP mode. The power amplifier has an output power of 2 × 200 watts into 2 - 8 ohms or 1 × 400 watts into 4 -16 ohms in bridge mode. LEDs for standby/power, sleep, signal, limit, protect and bridge mode as well as gain controls for each channel are located on the front.

For remote control, the amplifiers are equipped with a switch contact for ON/OFF and channel-separated VCA inputs for external volume control. All outputs can be controlled independently or in groups. Our WP-V and RP-V volume controls or the DV module for control via up/down contacts are provided for this purpose. A fault in the output stage channels is output via the potential-free fault contact.
